Best Smelling Perfumes for Women (2011)

Being a guy I don't generally shop for women's fragrances, but I do enjoy how they smell. In 2011, hundreds of women's perfumes were released and several made quite the splash. I have smelled several fragrances for women and have picked my top 10 favorites. I'm a guy so my taste might be skewed a bit towards what I like rather than what the average, female perfume shopper may enjoy.

When I selected my fragrances I limited myself to only perfumes that were released in 2011. I also tried to select perfumes that were popular and perfumes that could easily be found at most department stores. Let me know what you think of my top 10 perfumes for women in 2011.

This is a nice powdery, floral fragrance for women. When you first smell Gucci Guilty you will be hit with notes of pink pepper and citrus. As the perfume dries down the floral notes begin to come out with a burst of lilac. This fragrance reminds me of early spring flowers with a subtle powdery background.

This is a fine example of a subtle, green fragrance. This perfume is perfect for work, since it is a lighter, less intrusive fragrance. No. 19 Poudre has a strong note of Iris flowers that sits gracefully in front of complex woody notes. This is an elegant yet subtle fragrance perfect for those who don't like to wear strong perfume.

This is a very strong yet soft fragrance. It pops with notes of citrus and calms down with notes of Jasmine. Overall, this is a warm floral fragrance that most everyone will enjoy. The vanilla musk note gives this floral fragrance its warmth and softness.

This is a sweet floral fragrance that is nice for everyday wear. It has a strong raspberry note that is blended perfectly with jasmine and peony flowers. This perfume is sweet, but not too sweet. It would probably be better for the younger crowd. If you enjoy fruity yet floral fragrances, this is perfect perfume for you.

This is a more intense version of the original Very Irresistible by Givenchy. This is a great perfume for a cold winter night. Very Irresistible is a heavier fragrance, so if you like light and fresh perfumes you may want to stay away from this one. Very Irresistible has a strong rose not that is blended with notes of patchouli. This is a perfect perfume if you want to make a statement.

This is another fruity, sweet fragrance. Taylor Swift launched Wonderstruck in October of 2011. This fruity scent stands apart from the others due to the vanilla accord that blends perfectly with its strong raspberry note. I would describe this fragrance as being smooth and creamy. Wonderstruck has become very popular in the past few months, and has nice lasting power on the skin.

If you enjoy white floral perfumes this is the perfect perfume for you. This is a very luxurious perfume that has a sense of mystery to it. Jasmine and lily of the valley make up the floral notes in Mon Jasmin Noir from Bvlgari. This is a wonderful daytime fragrance that is sure to pull in the compliments.

Not everyone is going to be a fan of this one, but if you like it you'll love it. This is a new version of the Miss Dior Cherie that was released in 2005. This is very earthy fragrance for women. It is a strong fragrance so a little will go a long way. Miss Dior Cheire has a strong patchouli note that is blended nicely with a mix of fruity notes.

This is the perfect spring scent. Daisy Eau So Fresh is a spin-off from the fragrance called Daisy. Daisy Eau So Fresh is a very girly fragrance that is more popular among young women. Daisy Eau So Fresh is a very fruity, floral fragrance that everyone seems to love. This fragrance feels happy and uplifting.

This is very summery and tropical fragrance made up of mostly tropical fruits and flower notes. Taj Sunset by Escada has a very exotic feel to it. This is a very sweet fragrance, so if you not a fan of sweet you will want to stay away from this one. Taj Sunset is a bright and happy fragrance that simply smells amazing.

2011 was the year of the sweet, floral perfume for women. Womens perfume seems to be steering away from the classic floral scents and heading in the direction of fruity scents. The floral notes are still there, but they have most certainly taken a backseat to the fruity notes.
